Calvin Clay Comp, 66, of Stonington passed away Wednesday February 23, 2011 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service to celebrate Calvin's life will be 4:00 PM Sunday February 27, 2011 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home in Decatur with Rev. William Mitchell of Stonington First Baptist Church officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com

Calvin was born on September 21, 1944 in Decatur the son of Kenneth Alvin and Golda L. Auten Comp. He married Nancy Sue Lench on June 9, 1978 and she preceded him in death on January 8, 2011. Calvin worked at A. E. Staley's, was a bus driver for RW Harmon and also drove for the Mt. Zion Bus Service. Calvin liked boating, skiing, bowling, fishing and playing bingo with the Senior Citizens in Taylorville with his mother.
Calvin is survived by his mother Golda of Stonington; children: Sherry Ishee and husband Jim of Decatur, Ronald Clay Comp and fiancé Kathy of Macon and Jodi Lee and husband Robbie of Decatur; brothers: Rickey Comp of Decatur and David Comp and wife Mary of Carbondale; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Calvin was preceded in death by his father, wife Nancy and two brothers Daniel and Mickey.
